A George III ‘guadalupe wood’ tea table. The radially veneered top above a fluted column with gadrooned vase to the base on moulded tripod legs, the sides of which are cut with Gothic panels, terminating in crisply carved inverted scroll feet.
The table is strikingly similar to several supplied by Thomas Chippendale in the mid 1760s both to Harewood House and No.19 Arlington Street.
